OUR RECIPE

 

At Reboot we believe our unique recipe speaks volumes about our ethos. Combining guided adventure activities that reconnect you to your body and the natural world,  inside our digital detox wrapper, whilst supported on the holistic front by regular yoga, meditation, storytelling, sound healing and massage is the perfect storm when it comes to cultivating that feel good factor. Our teams are specifically curated with this in mind and our yoga practitioners , classically trained chefs and adventure guides that have traveled the globe make this unique experience a reality. 

 

ACCOMMODATIONS

 

Our shared luxurious glamping tents are a home away from home. The huge bell tents are kitted out with all the creature comforts to make your stay in the mountains a super comfortable one. These tents are designed for two people sharing. If you'd like your own private tent please request one. However, we do find long lasting friendships formed when sharing a bell tent with another like minded soul on our retreats.

FOOD

 

We are as much what we eat as we are what we think. Feeding our minds and bodies with nutritional fuel is imperative when creating a balanced, harmonious system. Our meal plan has been specifically curated and designed to add the energy required to undertake the adventure elements of the retreat whilst being light on the system and our planet. Our Chef sources quality local ingredients with a strong emphasis on a plant based diet. Expect a healthy, hearty, veggie driven experience sourced from locations close to home as we emphasise a low carbon footprint on the retreat.

We believe in equal opportunity and in order to make our retreats affordable to a wider audience we extend a 10% discounted rate to local South African residents. The closest airport is George (50 km) from the retreat star pointt and the closest international airport is Cape Town (435 km) We offer shuttles for group bookings from Cape Town and singles from George.

DAY 1

OPENING CIRCLE & FIRESIDE INTRODUCTION

 

We meet at the gorgeous Well-being sanctuary and private healing space on the banks of the idyllic Swartvlei, Sedgefield. Our retreat starts with our opening ceremony and meet and greet session around the campfire. After which we settle in and we're treated to a gorgeous meal prepared by our private, classically trained chef. An early night beckons after a long days travel.

DAY 2

LEARN TO SUP

 

We wake to a sunrise yoga session and guided appreciation meditation before enjoying a gorgeous healthy breakfast. The morning gently rolls into a swim on our private lake and a guided SUP (stand up paddle board) session a short walking distance from our glamping tents.

 

Lunch will be served after some time on the water after which we enjoy a restful day on the sanctuary grounds reading a book and decompressing from the previous days travel. Take advantage of our in-house masseuse and unwind and destress.

 

An evening of beautiful food created by our private chef and some live music around the fire performed by one of the regions talented local musicians helps us wind down before bed.

DAY 3

FOREST RIDE

 

We rise with the sun to a morning yoga session and guided meditation followed by breakfast. This leads us into our morning Wim Hof ice bath experience. This amazing immune boosting cold water therapy technique is well known for helping with anxiety, muscle ache and alleviating certain symptoms related to depression. This boost of dopamine in the system will help gear you up for the upcoming adventurous elements of the retreat in the days to follow.

 

 After lunch we pack our adventure backpacks for our overnight hike, hop in the shuttle and head deeper into the forest as we drop into this space with a gentle, silent barefoot walk to help us land and ground in The National Forest. We follow this short, gentle stroll with a beautiful  forested 18 km bike ride to our over night Mountain cabin where our chef awaits with a traditional meal prepared on the fire.

DAY 4

OVERNIGHT HIKE AND FOREST TRAILS

 

Sunrise yoga and a guided meditation gets the day started before breakfast is served. We grab our backpacks and start our 15 km hike carrying our food for the day, sleeping bag, head torch and water bottle. 

 

We will be having lunch on the trail and aiming to reach our mountain cabin late afternoon to make a bonfire in the forest and unplug from the world as we are now deep inside the Garden Route forest surrounded only by the sound of birds and the warmth of our group.

DAY 5

WAKING UP IN THE KNYSNA FOREST

 

We start the day with a light guided stretch and a chai or coffee over our adventure  breakfast. We roll out shortly after to complete the next 15 km hike through the Knysna forest once again carrying all our food and snacks for the day.

 

Winding through this ancient forest home, to the Knysna Loerie and so many phenomenal species of bird, plant and fungi. We arrive at our Glamping tents after full day on the trail. 

 

We are met by our in-house chef and masseuse to help us land after this amazing two day over night hike through the iconic and world renowned Garden Route National Park.

DAY 6

LAST DAY IN THE FOREST

 

waking up to the sounds of birds and monkeys playing in the forest canopy above us, we roll into a gentle yoga session and guided meditation before breakfast. We pack our things and hop in the shuttle to head back to any parked vehicles at the start point of the retreat. We aim to be finished by noon.
