Our micro retreat offers a floating breakfast experience in a hidden bay that is often inhabited by dolphins and seals.

This unique location boasts the picture-perfect postcard photo opportunity of Table Mountain, a true bucket list moment for any visitor. We take in nature at its finest in this gentle floating meditation with these majestic creatures.

Our day then includes a drive along the coastline, the world-famous Chapman's Peak drive towards Cape Point, and our second floating meditation. Cape Town's famous penguin beach is our second location as we paddle out to see the famous African Jackass penguins in their natural habitat. Our retreat experience then stops in the famous seaside village of Kalk Bay for lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the beach and False Bay.

We continue the "surf and turf" experience as we make our way across the bay to the Overberg mountains, home to many of the Cape's endemic flower species and birds. We will spend the night in pure serenity in a nature reserve with natural pools.

Our traditional fire cooking workshop starts at sunset as we learn to cook on the open fire, a traditional South African "braai" experience at your private eco cabin overlooking the valley. A morning cold-water plunge in the natural mountain pool is followed by a healthy breakfast and a gentle nature walk/hike before we return to your accommodations in the city. (Feel free to enquire about adding a winetasting experience at an additional cost.)

FOOD

Two breakfasts and a dinner will be provided. We aim for a healthy light granola fruit bowl and a coffee/tea/juice while enjoying our morning floating breakfast. Lunch will be at a seaside restaurant on your own account.

Dinner is a traditional South African BBQ/braai cooked over the fire with either free-range organic ostrich/venison meat or vegetarian options if specified. This cooking workshop teaches you how to moderate heat on open fires to cook various dishes. The idea is to leave having learned how to make your own fire and coals and cook multiple dishes on open flames and coals.

WHAT TO EXPECT

On day 1, after your inner-city hotel pickup or Uber drop-off, this micro retreat takes you on a floating breakfast experience in a hidden bay that often has dolphins and seals. This unique inner-city location boasts Table Mountain's picture-perfect postcard photo opportunity from a floating angle, a true bucket list moment for any visitor. We take in nature at its finest in this gentle floating meditation with these majestic creatures.

Our day then takes us on a drive along the coastline, the world-famous Chapman's Peak drive towards Cape Point, which is our second floating meditation of the day. Cape Town's famous penguin beach is our second location as we paddle out to see the famous African Jackass penguins in their natural habitat.

Our retreat experience then stops in the famous seaside village of Kalk Bay for lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the beach and False Bay. We continue the "surf and turf" experience as we make our way across the bay to the Kogelberg mountains, home to many of the Cape's endemic flower species and birds. We will spend the night in pure serenity in a nature reserve with natural pools.

Our cooking workshop starts at sunset as we learn to cook on the open fire, a traditional South African "braai" experience at your private, modern eco cabin overlooking the valley. We start the morning with a cold water plunge in the natural mountain pool, followed by a healthy breakfast and a gentle hike in the reserve.

Then, we return to your accommodations in the city.
