Guided by experienced adventure leaders, holistic practitioners, yoga instructors, and private chefs, each day unfolds with forest hikes beneath towering ancient trees, nourishing meals, daily yoga, in-house massages, and a revitalising Wim Hof ice bath experience. DAY 1
 

We gather at our secluded sanctuary nestled along the serene banks of the Knysna Lagoon, where ancient forest, still waters, and fresh ocean air create the perfect setting to slow down, reconnect, and fully arrive in nature.

As the sun softens over the lagoon, we come together around the campfire for our Opening Ceremony and welcome circle — a gentle introduction to the retreat experience and the beginning of our journey together. Through grounding practices and meaningful connection, we begin to transition away from the noise of everyday life and into the restorative rhythm of the natural world.

DAY 2
 

Day 2 is intentionally designed as a slow and restorative experience — an opportunity to fully exhale, ground yourself in nature, and settle into the peaceful rhythm of retreat life. We begin the morning with sunrise yoga overlooking the tranquil waters of the Knysna Lagoon, followed by a guided appreciation meditation and nourishing chef-prepared breakfast. The morning continues with a guided breathwork and ice bath session designed to awaken the body, calm the mind, and deepen resilience through conscious breath and cold immersion.

After lunch, the afternoon is yours to rest and restore. Journal beneath the trees, read a book, enjoy the sanctuary grounds, or unwind with treatments from our in-house massage therapist. As the afternoon light softens, we head to the lagoon for a guided sunset Stand Up Paddleboarding session, gliding peacefully across still water beneath glowing skies. The day closes with a beautiful chef-prepared dinner and a slow fireside evening beneath the stars.

DAY 3
 

We begin the day with sunrise yoga and meditation beside the peaceful waters of the Knysna Lagoon before journeying by shuttle into the heart of the ancient Knysna Forest for a breathtaking 15km guided hike through indigenous forest and national park terrain.

This is a fully supported slack-packing overnight experience, allowing you to immerse yourself completely in the wilderness while your bags, accommodation, and comforts are transported ahead for you. After a rewarding day on the trail, we arrive at our secluded forest camp where hot showers, cold drinks, and a beautifully prepared dinner by our private chef await deep within the forest canopy.

Surrounded by towering trees and the sounds of the wild, the evening offers a rare opportunity to disconnect completely and experience nature in its purest form.

DAY 4 
 

We wake deep within the ancient Knysna Forest to birdsong and soft morning light filtering through the canopy. The day begins with sunrise yoga and guided meditation on a hidden wooden deck suspended amongst the trees before enjoying breakfast in the heart of the forest.

We then continue our slack-packing journey with another guided 15km hike through dense indigenous forest and untouched wilderness, moving slowly through towering trees, flowing streams, and winding trails while our gear is transported ahead for us. ​At the end of the trail, our shuttle returns us to our sanctuary on the edge of the Knysna Lagoon, where a beautiful sunset dinner and fireside evening welcome us home after two unforgettable days immersed in the wild.

DAY 5 
 

Our final morning begins slowly with a guided sunrise yoga session and meditation beside the tranquil waters of the Knysna Lagoon, offering one last opportunity to ground, reflect, and soak in the peaceful energy of the sanctuary.

Guests are invited to enjoy an optional morning swim or gentle paddle on the lagoon before returning for our final nourishing breakfast together.

As the retreat comes to a close, we gather for farewells and final reflections before wrapping up at 11am. Shuttle options are available for departing guests, allowing for an easy and relaxed onward journey after five days of deep rest, adventure, connection, and immersion in nature.

Discover the essence of mindful living at our retreat, where nourishment is an integral part of wellbeing and connection to nature. Our thoughtfully curated meals are designed to restore body and mind while fuelling days of forest adventure and exploration. Led by our private chef, the menu centres around vibrant plant-based cuisine crafted from premium locally sourced ingredients, alongside optional clean meat options such as ethically sourced non-GMO ostrich and venison for select dinners. Each meal celebrates seasonal produce, conscious sourcing, and wholesome flavours — an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and savour the beauty of intentional living.

Our accommodation is thoughtfully designed to immerse you in both comfort and wilderness throughout this transformative journey. The retreat begins in an idyllic wooden cabin-style sanctuary nestled beside the tranquil Knysna Lagoon, where guests can unwind in beautifully curated en-suite rooms surrounded by nature’s stillness. Deep within the forest, our overnight slackpacking experience offers charming glamping huts tucked beneath the ancient trees of the Knysna Forest, complete with hot showers and the simple luxury of reconnecting with the wild in comfort.
